“ Maximo is one of our favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The food, service and vibe of the restaurant are all the very best. Come hungry and plan what dishes you want - the more the better! Our waiter was really attentive and gave great recommendations. We had several NA cocktails and loved the Hibiscus cocktail. This is a restaurant you must go to! ”

“ The food was fantastic and surprisingly quick. We had two tasting menus and there were no misses. We had a very minor delay with a dish which was so smoothly covered by the great staff. They gave us a courtesy and got it out quickly! The place is beautiful and very much worth it Our favorite dishes were the tempura leaf with fish, the olive oil brownie for dessert, the lobina and the steak. But it was hard to pick ”

Must try if in Mexico City at a fraction of cost for the same experience in US. Loved the time spent. We ordered ala carte and they have veg options available as well I will go there any time again . ”

“ Dinner at Maximo Bistrot was a flavor explosion from start to finish. Every dish delivered something special, and I honestly can’t pick a favorite (but if I had to... perhaps that cruffin!!! ) We started with the octopus appetizer—not your typical ceviche. It was tender (not raw), with just the right chew, dressed in a vibrant salsa and paired with guacamole. A total flavor bomb. Then came the sweet onion with cheese—rich, melty, and ridiculously satisfying. But the real showstopper? That freshly baked cruffin. Buttery, flaky, cloud-soft inside, and absolutely divine. I could’ve eaten three. The pasta was a standout, too—definitely not your everyday pasta. Rich, savory, and deeply layered in flavor. Beautifully done. I usually do not like dishes with beef but this one was a solid pass. As for drinks—my server recommended the Pina Chiltepin, and it was perfect: tropical, refreshing, with a tiny spicy kick at the end that made it super balanced and memorable. Loved it. The ambiance was just as impressive: an elegant dining room with a glass ceiling, natural textures, and candlelit tables that made it feel both modern and warm. This place is definitely worth a second visit—I already want to go back to try more (and maybe get another cruffin... or two). Truly one of my favorite meals in CDMX! ”

“ Excellent! Upon entering Maximo, you’ll notice the staff diligently preparing in the kitchen, exuding confidence in their culinary expertise. The food is straight forward and perfectly executed, showcasing the quality of the products. The decor and atmosphere are unpretentious, complementing the menu, which is well-executed and offers a variety of seasonal dishes. I highly recommend trying the cauliflower soup and the rib eye dishes. ”

“ Hands down my best meal in CDMX. It was about 200pp which is money I never spend on dinner much less lunch but it was worth it. For me and my friend we got a great bottle of Mexican wine, 3 apps, a main and 2 desserts. The seabass appetizer was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. The lemon risotto was the best risotto I’ve ever had in my life. The goat cheese ice cream also amazing. We probably did not need the chocolate torte. I found and bought the water glasses from the vendor on IG while still sitting at the table (I blame the wine). Tip: they are very responsive via OpenTable ”
